Mace Massingill's Food Drive #nohunger

My name is Mace and I am 8 years old.  Last year hunger became real to me on a visit to the Capital Area Food Bank after we collected food at our family Thanksgiving dinner.  It was right then that I decided I didn’t want anyone to be hungry anymore, and I set a goal to feed 1,000 people by the end of the year.  Thanks to the help of family, friends and even strangers, we were able to feed more than 5,000 people.  That’s right! We fed more than 5 times the amount of people we set out to.

But here’s the problem. There are still hungry people out there and I am not stopping until there are no more hungry people.  This year I have set a goal to feed 10,000 people, but I can’t do it alone.  I hope you will help me by making a donation to the Capital Area Food Bank on the link provided. Or if you want to collect food, I am happy to come pick it up.  Just email me at macesfooddrive@gmail.com and we will take it to the Food Bank for you.

Whenever I sit down at my table there is always enough food to eat and it makes me sad that this is not true for everyone. Let’s keep collecting food until everyone’s table has enough food. The theme of my drive is #nohunger. Because we are not stopping until the hunger is gone.

Thank you!
