hunger study 2009

2009 Hunger Study to Reveal the Scope and Depth of Hunger in America

CAFB is participating in an extensive nation-wide study into the distribution of food assistance services to low-income Americans through our comprehensive network of agencies. The Hunger Study surveys relief organizations in local communities and the clients who access these agencies’ services to determine the reasons recipients need charitable assistance. This two-pronged study - local agencies and recipients - enables the food banking community to better quantify the needs of its communities and analyze the capacity of the charitable food distribution system to meet those needs. Results will be released this fall.

volunteercall_gifVolunteers are needed to conduct interviews for the study. You must be at least 21 years of age to participate. Spanish speakers are greatly needed. Learn more.
